The Minister for Water, Lisa Neville, today announced the scope of works for this year’s $100 million winter works program.
Project major contractor John Holland has mobilised resources across the region and will:
- Remediate 33km channel across 17 sites
- Install automation at 271 sites
- Install 35km pipeline across seven sites, and
- Undertake works on more than 500 meters.
This year’s winter works program will mean more irrigators will benefit from the modernised delivery network. For farming businesses, this means benefitting from the automated water delivery system that is driving improved productivity. For the environment, the project delivers water savings through upgrades not buy-backs.
